Overindulgence

Overindulgence. The action of having too much of something enjoyable. The good thing is, it is not a death sentence and can be reversed. Holiday gatherings shows, gives us a delectable selection of treats, eats and spirits to choose from in mass quanties. No matter the mode of creation, too much of anything in our system can lead us too feeling heavy and tired. Over exerting the digestive system causes foods to sit too long resulting in fermentation(gas, bloating, etc.) and/or inflammation (distension of the stomach).

How do we reversed this process? You stop consuming the foods that are causing the inflammation, digesting slowly, etc. Drink more fluids, especially water and teas, these liquids will help to flush and lubricate the digestive organs. Daily movement. The lymph system needs gentle muscle movement to flow. Eat foods that help to detox the organs. Limit consumption of fast foods, and processed foods. 

Another helpful way to reduce inflammation and bloating from eating is to do a detox.
